After initial engagements at theaters in Hamburg, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf, actor Ben Becker had his decisive cinematic breakthrough in Joseph Vilsmaier’s film "Schlafes Bruder". Two years later he portrayed the singer Robert Biberti in the biopic "Comedian Harmonists". In the late 1990s, Becker was back on stage, accepting engagements in both Berlin and Hamburg.

Ben Becker is also an enterprising musician. In his latest project, "The Bible – A Spoken Symphony" a reading tour that was launched in October 2008, Becker, who is backed by the Zero Tolerance Band and the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg, recites texts and songs from Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton alongside classical oeuvres from Gustav Mahler.
