Producer Markus Trebitsch founded the Aspekt Telefilm production company in 1975 and has successfully produced television films, sequences and series. The elaborate productions "Neger, Neger, Schornsteinfeger" ("Negro, Negro, Chimney Sweep")starring Veronica Ferres, the Siegfried Lenz story "Der Mann im Strom" ("The Man in the River") and the remake of the "Zürcher Verlobung" "Getting Engaged in Zurich" are some of the hits that he has recently turned out.

Markus Trebitsch has been working as a freelance producer since January 2008. This coming fall, the ARD will televise his second Siegfried Lenz screen adaptation "Das Feuerschiff" ("The Lightship"), which just celebrated a highly acclaimed premiere at the Hamburg Film Festival.
