Ich + Ich constitute the most exceptional pop project in recent years. The duo is a musical liaison between a young underdog who grew up in a boy group and a style icon from the 80s. Singer Adel Tawil mostly stands alone on stage at concerts, while singer, producer and songwriter Annette Humpe prefers to wait behind the curtain out of sheer stage fright. Their music is at least as special as they are themselves: With their melancholy, emotional lyrics that are bedded in delicate R ‘n’ B and smooth pop, they strike the spirit of the times. Tawil and Humpe take hold of desires while they simultaneously sing out against social disharmony. Their album "Vom selben Stern" ("From the Same Star") placed Number 1 on the charts in 2008. Despite their huge success, the duo didn’t let the marketing machinery sand down their rough edges. Ich + Ich takes their audience on the journey to happiness and currently reaches out to entire generations like no other band can do.
