Prize winner Paula Kalenberg - Category: "Lilli Palmer & Curd Jürgens Memorial Camera"

Actually, one single sample of her work is sufficient to know that Paula Kalenberg is destined for the Mount Olympus of the acting profession. The screen adaptation of Schiller’s "Kabale und Liebe" ("Intrigue and Love"), for instance, in which she already won the hearts of her audience in 2005 with her inimitable charm and devotion to language. The nuclear energy drama "Die Wolke" ("The Cloud"), from 2006, where she went to the limits of her emotional and physical limits. Or the fantasy adventure "Krabat", where in 2008 she enchanted her audience with her metamorphic talent. Paula Kalenberg is a mere 22-years-old and is already one of the guarantees for quality in German film. If Kalenberg is in it, it can’t be bad. She doesn’t pride herself on her success, gladly practicing personal understatement – and does her knitting while on the set. Colleagues describe her as a natural born talent; she refers to herself as a darling of fortune. We say: She is a godsend. Paula Kalenberg will be a name that shapes the future of film and television.
