For the series “Expeditionen ins Tierreich” (Expeditions into the Animal Kingdom), a research boat tracked marine mammals. The ARD/NDR production “Giganten im Mittelmeer – Pottwalen auf der Spur” (Titans of the Mediterranean – Tracking the Sperm Whale) shows breathtaking footage of the sea creatures. “The program scores with investigative research, impressive leading actors, and an animal filmmaker and moderator whose passion for his profession never skips a beat,” according to the jury.
